I have this model of a Lamborghini Countach that I started last year for the dream cruise and never finished. I'm thinking about trying to actually work on it again.
If I do start working on it again, who would like an update post every now and then?
EDIT: What it would/will hopefully look like when complete:
More like the second photo without the rear wing.

Yes! Keep working on it!

I've got a '69 Camaro I started when I was 7. I should finish that thing...

This was what I was going after with my design, but college had to be an ass and ruin my schedule for this car. :(

DO IT! I would like to see what it looks like now. :P

It is a shell like your lambo but is painted candy red.

Your model made me realize how awesome a dakar rally countach would be leave the hood off and have a fat off road spare tire in there lifted a bit with rally meats and some aux lights.

I see. I also painted my wheels and engine block(very crudely though). I'll probably do the first update around or by Friday.

Yeah... my block was painted chevy orange by 7 year old me. It's not the prettiest thing.

Dammit, Thanks college!

I typed in "rally countach" and this is all I got that seemed close enough :P
But If I get a second one, that'd be a pretty unique idea right there! :)

I know! Who needs a Mechanical Engineering degree these days?? :P

what did you use to paint it?
Looks almost like a hammered finish

I used a spray paint for models that I got from a hobby store, there's no clear coat either. I'm not sure if a "hammered finish" is a good or bad thing? Or what it is for that matter?

hammered finish to me is a bad thing in cars, just like orange peel.
When I was in my teens making models, I would use real car paint(in a spray can).
By the way I made that exact model in the 90's(damn that makes me feel old)
I think I painted it red.

Ah. When I bought the car and paint, I didn't have much cash on me so it was the best I could do. :(
Do you think I should clearcoat it? Would that help at all?

Don't know if the clear will do anything.
Once finished firecrackers might get rid of the orange peel.
I remember lot's of my model cars died from firecrackers.

Firecrackers huh.

fireworks would also work

Hey I shared your post to Live and Let Diecast because this lambo is awesome!
Do you already have/would you like authoring priviledges on hwep.kinja.com?

Yup! Unfortunately I haven't had anything interesting to post over there, so I haven't been posting much if at all. :(

What brand is your model? I semi built an Aoshima LP400 about 2 years ago, finicky as hell.

It's a Revell. So far, ever model kit(that's not a gundam) that I've built has been a Revell.
